Traditional Use: Cardamom is a native of India and is a widely used ingredient in Ayurvedic medicines. It is also used in many of the Indian recipes.Ancient Indian scriptures mentions about cardamom and cardamom oil and it has prescribed for weight loss, urinary tract infections, bad breath, indigestion and jaundice. Traditionally Indians chew cardamom wrapped in betel leaves for better digestion and in the modern India it is been continued.
